Restoring Beauty & Ecology
Our love for the beauty of God's creation inspires us to work to restore what has been lost to urban development, deforestation, and unsustainable harvesting practices.
The following are a few ways you can help.
Creation Care Study Program - A sister program of Restoring Eden where students spend a semester abroad studying the forest and water ecology, sustainable development, and environmental theology at one of the campuses in Belize, New Zealand or the soon coming urban environmental campus in Buffalo, New York.
Volunteer to plant trees in your area - Organize a group to plant trees in your community, or help out with a tree planting event that has already been organized. There are many opportunities every spring. The Arbor Day Foundation is a great resource for all things tree-planting.
Trail and river clean ups - Work with your state Department of Natural Resources to organize a day to clean up local trails or shorelines. Gather a group from your school, church, work, or just some friends and help keep natural areas clean and beautiful.
